About Matthias Plattner

Matthias Plattner works in an advisory and forensic capacity with a particular focus on data protection, technology and administrative law. He provides comprehensive advice on legal issues relating to the protection of personal data, digital transformation and the legal framework of public administration. Before joining Public Sector Law as an associate, Matthias Plattner studied law at the University of Basel. In addition to his studies, he worked at the ServiceDesk of the IT Services of the University of Basel and was thus able to acquire above-average expertise in the field of IT for a lawyer. Before being admitted to the bar in 2024, he worked as an intern at the Data Protection Office of Basel-Stadt, at the Cantonal Court of Basel-Landschaft (Constitutional and Administrative Law Department) and at the law firm Kellerhals Carrard, which operates throughout Switzerland.
